Claude is Anthropic's AI assistant. Connect it to Glovebox and you can ask it questions about your own workspace, in your own words, and get answers from your live data rather than from a spreadsheet you exported last week.
What it can do
Read. Claude can look up:
- Upcoming pickups and returns, with who has paid and who still owes a balance
- Revenue for any date range, booked and collected, with the GST split and the share of repeat customers
- Your fleet: each vehicle's group, home branch, where it is now, the hire it is out on and what it is booked for next, including anything overdue
- Availability by vehicle group for a set of dates at a branch, the same answer your booking widget gives
- Your branches and their closed days, and the embed snippet for your booking widget
Change, with your approval. If you allow it when you connect, Claude can also propose four kinds of change:
- Close a branch on certain weekdays or specific dates
- Set the minimum booking lead time
- Add a seasonal percentage rate for a date range
- Take a vehicle off the road for a repair or service
Claude never applies a change on its own. It shows you what would change, including anything it would override or collide with, and applies it only after you say yes in the conversation. Applied changes appear on your workspace timeline. Existing rates and bookings are never edited or deleted.
Connect
- In Claude, add the Glovebox connector. On claude.ai: Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector, address
https://mcp.getglovebox.co.nz/mcp. In Claude Code:claude mcp add --transport http glovebox https://mcp.getglovebox.co.nz/mcp. - Click Connect. You are brought to Glovebox to sign in with your usual account.
- Tick the workspaces you own. If you run more than one business on Glovebox, tick them all and Claude sees them on one connection.
- Choose whether to Allow changes. Leave it off for read-only.
- Back in Claude, ask something: "what's picking up this week?", "how much did last month make?", "is a 5-door free over Labour weekend?"
Only a workspace owner can connect. Connecting switches on the Claude connector module for that workspace if it was off.
Disconnect
Each connection appears under Settings › Claude connector in that workspace, labelled with the date you signed in. Revoke one to disconnect that Claude. Switching the module off disconnects every Claude at once.
What Claude sees, and what it does not
Claude only sees what you ask about, and only for the workspaces you ticked. Answers include customer names on bookings, because that is what a booking is, but Claude has no access to payment cards, documents, or anything outside the tools listed above. Nothing from your conversation is stored by Glovebox beyond the changes you approve.
Read-only by default. Times are shown in your workspace's timezone and money in your currency, including GST.
