Platform terms
On this page
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Glovebox hire management software and related services (the “Service”) operated for New Zealand hire operators (cars, campervans, boats, bikes, equipment, and similar). By creating an account you agree to these Terms.
The Service
Glovebox is provided as-is and as available. We strive for reliability and security but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. You are responsible for using the Service in compliance with applicable law and your obligations to your customers.
We may add, change or remove features over time. Where a change materially reduces core functionality you rely on, we’ll give reasonable notice by email or in-app.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance in NZD, GST-inclusive, and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your admin; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Partial periods are not refunded except where required by law.
If a subscription payment fails, your workspace continues to operate for 14 days. After 14 days new bookings are paused until payment is made. Existing bookings, payments and customer communications are not affected.
Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice, except where founding member pricing applies.
Founding member pricing
The founding offer is limited to the first 50 operators. Your workspace is free to build and test for as long as you like; a subscription begins when you go live. The founding rate for the plan you subscribe to is locked for as long as your subscription remains active. See the pricing page for current founding rates by plan.
A failed or late payment that is settled within 14 days does not affect your founding rate. If you cancel your subscription and later resubscribe, current standard pricing applies.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, access it without authorisation, or use it for unlawful purposes. You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for the accuracy of the operator and customer data you enter.
- Don’t upload content you don’t have the right to use.
- Don’t resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission.
- Handle your customers’ personal information in line with the Privacy Act 2020.
Claude connector
A workspace owner can connect Glovebox to Claude, an AI assistant made by Anthropic, using the Claude connector. Once connected, Claude can read that workspace's data on your behalf and can propose a limited set of changes: settings and rates, setup for a new workspace, and fleet upkeep records such as odometer readings, RUC top-ups and services logged as done. The current list of what Claude can read and change is kept on the connector page. Today it cannot take, move or cancel bookings, charge or refund money, email customers, or edit or delete existing records.
Every change is yours. Claude never saves a change on its own. Each proposal comes back as a preview of the before and the after, and it is saved only when you confirm it in the conversation. A change you confirm is treated exactly as if you had made it in your admin yourself. You are responsible for reading each preview before you confirm it and for the result of any change you confirm. Glovebox does not review what you ask Claude or what Claude proposes.
Claude's answers are not our answers. Claude is a third-party service. We do not control what it says and do not promise its answers are accurate, complete or current. Do not rely on an answer from Claude in place of the figures in your workspace for tax, insurance, compliance or customer-facing decisions. Anthropic's own terms and privacy policy apply to your use of Claude, and our privacy policy sets out what Claude receives once you connect.
Access and disconnecting. The connector only acts under a connection you approved by signing in. Anyone using a Claude that is connected to your workspace can read and propose changes as you, so treat a connection like a shared login and only connect Claude accounts you control. You can revoke a connection at any time under Settings › Claude connector in your admin, which stops that access immediately. Changes already confirmed stay in place.
Liability. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from an answer Claude gave, from a change you confirmed through Claude, or from a connection you left in place. Most changes made through the connector can be corrected in your admin, and we will help where we reasonably can. The scope of the connector may grow; each new capability is listed on the connector page, and anything that lets Claude act on bookings, customers or money will only be added with the same preview-and-confirm rule.
Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms or sustained non-payment, generally after notice and an opportunity to fix the issue. On termination you can export your data for 30 days, after which it may be deleted.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other non-excludable law.
