Coming up in the sidebar. Days in order, and under each day everything happening that day.
Three kinds of event
- Pickups — customers collecting.
- Returns — customers bringing vehicles back.
- Transfers — vehicles being moved between branches.
They sit together on purpose. A car returning at 11 and going out again at 2 is one line of thinking, not two screens.
Each day's heading counts what is in it, so you can see the shape of tomorrow without reading it.
Notes
You can leave a note against an item — a customer arriving late, a car needing a wash between hires, anything the next person on the counter needs. Notes belong to the day's work rather than the booking's permanent record.
Printing it
Print gives you the sheet as a page, and there is a PDF version. This is the one to put on the counter for a staff member who is not going to be at a screen.
How it differs from the other two screens
- Coming up is when things happen, in order. Best for working a day.
- The bookings list is finding a specific booking. Best when someone rings up.
- The fleet calendar is where each vehicle is, across time. Best for spotting gaps and clashes.
If it did not work
- A booking is missing. Check its status — cancelled bookings are not on the sheet — and that it falls in the days you are looking at.
- A transfer is not showing. Transfers are a module. If it is off, there is nothing to show.
