Bookings & availability
How customers book, and how you control what can be booked, and when.
- Can I set a minimum hire length?
-
Yes. Go to Pricing → Pricing Rules and add a rule of type Minimum days, then enter the minimum number of nights.
You can apply it however you need:
- across your whole fleet, or scoped to a specific vehicle, vehicle group, category or location;
- and optionally to a date window — for example a 5-night minimum over the Christmas peak, and normal lengths the rest of the year.
Once it's set, the booking page enforces it automatically — a customer simply can't book a shorter stay.
- Can I close a branch on public holidays or certain days?
-
Yes. Under Locations, open a branch and find the Opening & closures section. You can:
- close it on specific dates (public holidays, Christmas), with an optional "repeat every year" for dates that recur; and
- close it on recurring weekdays — for example "closed Sundays".
Customers can't pick up or return at that location on a closed day. A hire can still run across a closed day — the vehicle stays out, the counter's just shut — and you can always still book those days manually from the admin.
- Can I require a minimum notice before pickup, or limit how far ahead people book?
-
Yes. In your booking settings you can set a minimum notice (for example, no bookings within 2 hours of pickup) and a maximum advance window (for example, no further out than 365 days). The booking page enforces both.
You can also set the operating-hours window for the pickup and return time dropdowns, so customers can only choose times within your hours.
